The ROSA LUXEMBURG FOUNDATION is one of the largest political education institutions in Germany today and sees itself as part of the intellectual current of democratic socialism. The foundation evolved from a small political group into a nationwide political education organisation, a discussion forum for critical thought and political alternatives as well a research facility for progressive social analysis.

The website points out ways of finding solutions oriented towards the interests of those who have no voice in society. The AUSTRALIAN WORKING GROUP ON FINANCIALIZATION is an interdisciplinary network of researchers and practitioners interested in financialization and all the issues around relations between the capital market, firms, labour and households. The AWGF involves a constituency of academics, finance journalists, financial sector regulators and people working in the finance industry.

 

 

 

CENTRE FOR RESEARCH ON SOCIO-CULTURAL CHANGE (CRESC)

The CENTRE FOR RESEARCH ON SOCIO-CULTURAL CHANGE is a joint initiative between The University of Manchester and The Open University, whose research engages both academic and policy debates. CRESC research offers interdisciplinary analyses of social and cultural change using state of the art research methods to challenge contemporary myths and offer empirically grounded accounts of change in specific key areas.

The POLITICAL ECONOMY RESEARCH INSTITUTE promotes human and ecological well-being through original research. PERI is an independent unit of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with close ties to the Department of Economics. Since its founding, PERI has become a leading source of research and policy initiatives on issues of globalization, unemployment, financial market instability, central bank policy, living wages and decent work, and the economics of peace, development, and the environment.

Founded in 1968, the UNION FOR RADICAL POLITICAL ECONOMICS is an interdisciplinary membership organization of academics and of activists. Its mission is to promote the study, development and application of radical political economic analysis to social problems. Concretely this involves a continuing critique of both the capitalist system, and of all forms of exploitation and oppression. URPE’s mission also includes, coming out of this critique, helping to construct a progressive social policy, and a human-centered radical alternative to capitalism.

 

 

FONDATION GABRIEL PÉRI

The FONDATION GABRIEL PÉRI, named after Gabriel Péri (1902-1941), is a think tank created by the French Communist Party (PCF). Since July 2004 it has been recognized as a public utility. Its work focuses on economics, political and social history by organizing seminars and workshops on various topics and through a series of publications.

ECONOMISTS AGAINST AUSTERITY aim to bring together economists and others who are opposed to the failed policies of austerity. They debate and discuss a range of topics related to the economy and aim to provide some answers on the alternative policies that are required.
